About the Role
We are looking for a highly strategic and business-oriented Product Development Agronomist to support the expansion of a global agribusiness operation in Brazil.
This is not a traditional field agronomy position. This role sits at the intersection of agronomy, market intelligence, and product development, with the objective of identifying market trends and needs, translating them into fertilizer product development aligned with the Brazilian agricultural landscape.
You will work closely with local leadership and global teams to help in the execution of the company's go-to-market strategy, playing a key role in shaping product portfolio decisions and commercial direction.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and analyze market needs across Brazilian agriculture (farmers, distributors, cooperatives, retailers and strategic clients)
Translate field and market insights into fertilizer product opportunities and formulations
Collaborate with global teams to align production capabilities and global allocation with regional demand
Support and lead product development discussions with key customers
Provide continuous market intelligence on crop nutrition trends and fertilizer demand
Coordinate field activities such as:
Demonstration trials
Product validation initiatives
Agronomic feedback loops
Build strong relationships with:
Farmers
Distributors
Commercial partners
Support commercial and go-to-market strategies for new and existing products
Act as a technical and strategic advisor to leadership

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy (mandatory)
5+ years of experience in:
Agribusiness
Fertilizers
Crop nutrition
Agri-inputs
Strong understanding of:
Soil and crop nutrition
Fertilizer application and positioning
Experience interacting with:
Farmers
Distributors
Commercial teams

Solid technical foundation in crop nutrition and soil management
Ability to interpret field data and translate it into actionable insights
Business & Market Understanding (Critical)
Ability to understand market dynamics, customer needs and product competitiveness versus substitute grades.
Experience contributing to commercial or product-related decisions
